X2 Demos
Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has had a chance to create any X2 Demos?
Showing some of the excellent features of the FULL PROGRAM?
I am only playing with the TRIAL version, due to serial number issue.
Even some screen shots of what the extra content and menus available are?

Wow, give us a chance! it only came out a couple of days ago.
Due to my shift pattern and unwanted visitors to the house during the day I have finally managed to install a copy on one of my machines but only had 10 minutes to take a quick peek at it before having to set out for work.
I will do a preview just as soon as I get chance.

The only small negatives for me so far are:
No 64 bit version
and...unless I'm missing something
Changing the preview pane between 4x3 and 16x9 is a fiddly pain. In VS 11.5 I just clicked the "show all tracks in timeline" button and the preview pane would toggle between the two aspect ratios.
When I get to play with it more I'll write some thoughts but the impressing things so far for me are:
True sync with Audio to vision when scrubbing on the time line....was a big stand out for me.
and capture (in Mpeg2) straight from my Kaiser Baas TV tuner USB dongle...though I need to do more testing with this as I seem to have captured a broadcast of 4:3 in a 16:9 transmittion and VS has put that in a 4:3 capture shown on a 16:9 preview pane....no audio problems and no dropped frames.
I couldn't do that with this USB dongle before.

I'm glad that Corel finally corrected this for you. It appears that some others are still waiting. This type of blunder should never have happened. Corel should be totally embarrassed by this.
On a positive note, this is one version that is definitely worth the wait. There's one feature included, that is, I think more powerful then what it may appear to be. This feature would be the Video Paint feature. I've dabbled just a little with it to see just what it is capable of. It appears that Corel added in Corel Painter Essentials.
The very simplistic examples provided, are just that, very simplistic. They do not really represent what the feature is capable of. You can actually use it to paint an image/photo. Then use that painting for a cartoon-like appearance in your video. I think that's just the beginning, as I've really not had the time to really dive into it using my Wacom Tablet...

And i think vidoman's video proves thatKen Berry wrote:... though it would still be nice if it could draw a straight line between point A and B...
I think the video painter is a major plus and could convert a lot of people
away from other Video apps at this level. If it just had a few more tools
and possibly key frames option to create simple animations like a moving arrow.

Yes, I admit I started wondering the same thing when I watched it. Mind you, I also thought for a moment that I might have fallen for a bit of porn spam, but that did not prove to be the case!!
It would be extremely handy, though, if indeed you could write a brief tutorial on how you achieved the effect... It would save us 'oldies' an awful lot of time in trying to figure it out for ourselves!
