I tested with the two files you provided, and though the first one doesn't show too much motion, the artifact at the start and end of the crossover is clearly there. I also tested with some AVCHD files from my Sony SR11 and got the same probems. In one crossover I got no "return" but the moving cars got distortled (cfr Black Lab ref). Another thing I noticed was that with fast moving contents, about 5 frames after the return, I got one frame skipped.michal_h wrote:I tried to create file while smart proxy is disabled but have still the same bad result, the mistake is always at the the trasition start and end![]()
There is no mistake if I create file without transition
Here are two files from my camcorder, would someone by so kind to test it in his/her CVS pro X2? (put the clips on timeline, use any transition, create file AVCHD PAL HD 1920 and see the result)

When I first tried Pro X2 I was putting 1-second fade-to-black transtions between AVCHD clips from my Sony SR-11, but experienced the same problem that has been described in the last few posts in this thread. So I stopped using transitions. I hope Corel sees the need to fix this and other problems related to AVCHD.

I just observed another similar problem in an AVCHD file that was rendered by Pro X2 from AVCHD clips, with smart render off. I put small titles at the bottom of some vacation clips to identify to the viewer the location that the clip was taken. These titles are super-imposed on the video. (They're actually more like sub-titles). I am using the title that is in the 2nd row, third from the left in the predefined title library. This particular title automatically fades in and fades out.
Immediately after the title finishes fading out, the video flashes or jumps like an extra frame is being played, or maybe one is dropped. This looks just like the little blip that occurs after a crossfade or fade-to-black transition. This blip does not occur when playing the project from the timeline, just in a rendered file, or an AVCHD disc created from that file.
Has anyone else had this problem with titles?
Am I creating these subtitles correctly, by placing a title (one supplied with Pro X2) from the library into the Title 1 row of the timeline and then editing the text?

Is your original footage AVCHD 1920x1080 or 1440x1080. My question relates to a (maybe still existing) 1920x1080 problem with Canopus Edius New which was non existing with 1440x1080 AVCHD footage.dalemccl wrote:I just observed another similar problem in an AVCHD file that was rendered by Pro X2 from AVCHD clips, with smart render off. Hello,
I have the same problem with Corel VideoStudio X2 Pro as Efenstor and michal_h wrote. I have the camera Panasonic SD9 and I am using Full HD 1990x1080p or sometimes interleaved mode too.
This problem is very terrible for me because I spend my money and I don't want to buy something else now.
Is there some support way to Corel? What we can do? Wait for only?
Is somebody inside Corel Company who knows about this problem?

Yep, like everyone else here, I'm still waiting for the patch. Interestingly enough, Pinnacle Studio has no AVCHD smart render at all. Clever move of them to avoid problems. Looks like there's no solution yet, processing the source files with Nero as I wrote doesn't always help, it's a too insecure method. Nero 9 also doesn't help. Decoding with DGAVCDec shows artifacts: http://neuron2.net/board/viewtopic.php? ... cf79b94f80. One more proof of that there are some "proprietary" bytes in the transport stream, causing all the mess.michal_h wrote:to Efenstor:
have you already solved the problem? or you still waiting for new patch?
It is AVCHD 1920x1080.erdna wrote:Is your original footage AVCHD 1920x1080 or 1440x1080. My question relates to a (maybe still existing) 1920x1080 problem with Canopus Edius New which was non existing with 1440x1080 AVCHD footage.dalemccl wrote: Has anyone else had this problem with titles?

I agree. I don't use Smart Render and get the same artifact problems with transitions and titles.michal_h wrote:smart render is not the cause of the problem because if i create file w/o smart render I have the same mistakeEfenstor wrote:Interestingly enough, Pinnacle Studio has no AVCHD smart render at all. (I don't use Smart Render because I had audio/video sync problems with AVCHD rendered with Smart Render on. Turning it off solved that particular problem.)
