Hi,
That looks like what I have (other than the numbers being in sequence). It works the way I expect it to after returning to the menu (i.e., the button that shows in the Playlist is the button highlighted).
Have a look at the "Menu: Playlists" video at the bottom of this link:

With your help, it's working. I couldn't see that it was working because my testing technique was incomplete. In the FINISH testing mode using the simulated remote control, I was not waiting until each clip completed by clicking on Go to ROOT menu (M), which always returns to the highlighted top button. This time I used the little slide bar or just waited until the clip played and I saw the correct result.
You got me half way there, well, actually, all the way. I just stumbled on the last half. So, please consider this fixed, done, and with gratitude for your help.

Thanks for the update
Hi Markmen,
Thanks for the update, I was starting to wonder what was going on
What you mentioned makes sense for why it wouldn't work for you. When you skipped to the menu, you bypassed certain "navigational code" in the POST commands for the title being played.
Think of it this way:
1) PRE COMMANDS
2) THEN TITLE PLAYS
3) POST COMMANDS
When you JUMP out of #2 to a menu, the POST commands in #3 never got executed, which would help determine the highlighted buttons on the menu.
Anyway, glad everything is working
