Almost identical? You're joking aren't you?
Not really
----
BTW the painting can be opened via the most right icon (with the brush) above the track panel or via the pull down menu "Tools"> "Painting creator". Your painting will be saved as a clip in the library which you can place in any video track.
I need to play with this, spent 30 seconds
----
Why don't you, after trimming, drag those clips to the library? Than they can be used as if they were different clips.
I didnt know I could do that. Will that save them as files also? Usually I edit my entire shoot, save clips, use some, and save the remainder.
---
Have you tried auto pan and zoom?
Think so, still have to assign it to each image, can't say do it to all images (think there is a work around on that if I recall)
UPDATE ... UPDATE !!!
I'm starting to find things I like in the new version. Heck, this post is in the wrong thread.

Back to the original issue.... invalid serial #.
I also talked to Corel (thanks Corel for making us waste time and money to call you about this error). The response I got was the same, they are aware and hoped to have a resolution today - in this they failed, at least for me here in the US. Did anyone else having this problem get a solution yet?
I guess I could wait or just install and play with the demo. I'd rather see the product with it's content pack (the whole product) so I think I'll wait - don't be in a hurry to give Corel your hard earned money on the upgrade download just yet.... let them fix this first is my advice.

Hi All
I just paid Download Video Studio Pro x2 Ultimate. I was supposed to get an email in 30 mins with the serial numbers. Its now been a whole day and no email even to tell me they are having problems.
This is very poor service i even logged the error with Corel after 3 hour of not receiving my serial numbers and no communication from them. Someone needs to get fired at Corel, I love the products but their customer service sucks.

Hi All
Phoned Corel and got through to tec support. I got my purchase invoice emailed from corel. They told me the serial problem would be fixed by 12 noon UK time and they would send my serial right away.
Well that deadline has long passed and still no serial. I really wanted to try my new software what a shame i have to wait for them to fix it. Corel told me not to install the software and wait for my serial number to be sent to me.
Found out something good when i was on the phone you can run VideoStudio 11.5 and Ulead Video Studio Pro x2 on the same pc. Bad news is all our custom effects motion backgrounds and overlays and texts etc cant be transferred.
Anyway still no serial 2 days now. If any of you other guys get emailed a new serial let us know ASAP
Thanks

As for operating the two programs on the same computer, that is nothing new. I have VS 10+, 11.5+ and now the trial version of X2 on the same computer running Vista. And on earlier computers running XP I used to have VS7 through to VS11+ all co-existing happily together.

Ken, I have a question for you.
In order for the different versions to run on the same computer, do you take the default directory for installation or do you change anything?
I ask this because in the instructions for the trial version it is mentioned to install in a different folder. I will buy the upgrade but would like to be able to use both versions of the program and my question is because my knowledge with computers is very limited.
Thanks!

When you install the full version just use the default directory. I think they tell you to install the trial to a different folder to avoid problems.

Good news! Per Corel Customer Service, the VSX2 registration issue has been resolved. They will shortly begin issuing revised serial numbers and contacting customers who were effected. They will also be updating the Corel web account "View Your Products" pages to reflect the revised serials. I don't work for Corel and I don't have any additional info such as a specific time frame, etc... just passing this along as an FYI

I assume this is for only the online upgrade, and not the physical disc upgrade?

AFAIK, nobody has yet received their physical disc, unless they opted for overnight delivery. It remains to be seen if there will be a problem on that end.

I was told that only certain (not all) orders were effected by the serial problem. I don't have any specifics on box versus download. I do know that Corel began shipping boxed versions of the new "Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 Ultimate" today (9-11). Since PSPPX2 Ultimate and VSX2 Pro were launched on the same day (9-9) it **might** stand to reason that boxed versions of VSX2 Pro (if they were in fact effected) had not shipped prior to the discovery of the serial problem. In that case I imagine Corel would either rectify the problem before shipping or (if too late) contact customers to advise them of their revised serial number. That's pure speculation on my part. If you call Customer Service, your agent can speak directly to the VSX2 product manager and hopefully provide a definitive answer.
