Add/Edit Chapter & Preview problem

Having captured and edited I am ready to burn to DVD. But when going to share I am unable to Add/Edit Chapters becouse they are greyed out and also when pressing the preview control nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?

Hi

I assume you have a video clip of some sort in the timeline.

If you have , what are the properties of the clip.

Press the 'i' to show media properties

What are they??????

Make sure you have the latest Direct X installed on your pc

Thanks for getting back.......After reading another posting on the same subject. I probably need to update DirectX, which you also mentioned.
