I have to say I like the new VS Pro.
>The auto transition by overlapping a clip is a nice feature
>Two title tracks offer much more flexibility
>Transitions in the overlays is something we've been wanting for 2 years
>The ability to fade a chroma-keyed clip. No more intermediate renders. WOOHOO!

And that's just scratching the surface.

Even though I haven't figured out how to resize the work space I give it 2 thumbs up!

In the painter all the brushes seem to be freehand
it would have been nice to have at least a line tool
for drawing accurate straight lines.

Did u try holding the shift key while drawing the line? That's what you usually do on photo editing programs to draw straight lines.

No just tried it with shift and a few other buttons but none of them
seem to do it.

If you guys go back and look at the "Wish list" that was created in this forum, you'll notice MANY features that were mentioned there, were introduced :)

Oh and excellent point about having some straight-line tools in the painting creator - I'll mention it to the PM. I guess you can start generating the NEXT wish list!

Hi everyone.

I was wondering whether project files saved using video studio 11/11+ are compatible with the new video studio X2?

Damn it if only I can install it (problem with the "invalid registration No.") then I can start using it straight away.

Stelios

P.S. Waiting from Corel about the above issue with the registration No.

What is or will be the price difference between the Pro a Standard versions of X2. Just noticed X2 came out and the standard version is $70. What would be the price for the pro version? I would expect it would be worth it to wait for the pro version but wondering what are the extra features that make the pro version the better choice? I know they have X2 in the Corel store but where else will you be able to purchase this? I have found that with VideoStudio 11 and some other Programs its hard to find. You can go to Amazon, Ebay, etc. and they will have it for sale. For some reason when you go to places like Best Buy, Circuit City, Office Depot, Fry's and other retaliers out there they don't see to have it. I wonder if any retailers will be getting this product?

You can just try it as a demo for 30 days and then enter your serial
when everything gets sorted. I don't think there's any limitations in the demo

Functionality is not limited, but you are limited to the number of sample clips that are included.

Rich, in the mean time why don't you download the trial and tinker with it. That's what I did.

I just found two big things in this new version I wanted:

Add transitions to overlay tracks for sophisticated picture-in-picture effects

Apply auto pan & zoom to photos individually or in groups
