Know nothing about them Heinz? Question is where do you come from?

Any issues bring you to this forum other than to open your mouth and not contribute? Didn't think so.

Well, my friend, unlike you, you can find my name all over other ULEAD forums. I have used ULEAD programs for years with my fair share of problems. That does not bring me to come here and bag the program everybody else tries to work with. I have not seen a single thread of constructive advice coming from your end.

We all know, ULEAD programs are not perfect, big deal, neither is PhotoShop or any of the others. We do not need twits here that keep telling everybody to reformat their hard disks and never to put any ULEAD program on it again. We have "wasted" too much of our hard earned cash in this to listen to some windbag, telling us to can it all and to go to some program that is even more expensive.

So much to this from my end. Unlike you, I do not have time for this sh.t and will not give you the satisfaction of another reply.

So long, fella... and good luck in your future endeavours, hopefully you find good quality help like yours with any other problem you may strike.

Hhmm. I've been using Photoshop since version 4 and Ulead since version 5. Both programs have their place in the graphic's world. I only had problems with Photoshop when I tried to use "Eye Candy" filters. Quickly fixed. I've never experienced any problems with my Ulead programs until now, version 10. I'll fix this one too, hopefully. You don't throw out the baby with the bath water. You have to have some patience. If it weren’t for people staying up nights drinking Jolt, and eating pizza just to develop junk like viruses and other crap just to screw up your computer, about 90% of all computer problems would go away. That's another story anyway. For now, as a professional, I will stand by my Ulead products until such a time when it becomes hopeless or I just can't find a fix. Of course, the inability to download the components builder files for Version. 10 has got me in somewhat of a tizzy. But, life goes on. You know what they say, if you don't like what’s on the TV, turn the channel. :)

Visual C++ Runtime Error in windows XP

Post by mariwithaneye »

I ran into this problem yesterday. I, too, had been using PI 10 for quite some time and then out of the blue I got this error.

I scoured the net and this forum for an answer, but despite everyone's attempt at fixing my issue - I still could not open my software.

Soo..... I took matters into my own hands and decided to play around with the program setting myself. I had already removed and installed 3 times using various methods listed in the forum.

Today however, I fixed the issue!!!!! :D

Here's what I did. Keep in mind I have windows XP

Right click on start - then OPEN
Open Program Files folder
Open Ulead Systems folder
Open Photo Impact folder
Right Click the Iedit icon
Select properties from menu
Select Compatibility tab
Check - Run this program in compatibility mode for
Select Windows 98/windows ME
Click Apply

It fixed MY issue - hope it helps some of you guys.

Good Luck!

Wow, recently after doing some updating with ulead add ons and improvements from their website, my program quit working. I did a system resotre several times, deleted PI several times and reloaded but still did not work when starting up unless when I started program, it stopped responded, hit the X in corner to close program and when it asked to close program, or cancel, I hit cancel and would then run but still had a few issues. Tured your fix and seems to work at this time correctly. Thanks a bunch and hope it stays working.
