Looking for a train theme menu template

Post by bdbrown66 »

Hello all. I'm putting together a DVD for some kids, and I'd like to use a menu template that has a train theme. Something with a big, powerful locomotive on it, but not silly or tacky looking. If anyone has something that they'd like to share with me, I'd really appreciate it.

You can email me directly at bbrown@copper.net

Thanks again,
Brian

Welcome to the forums,

While I don't have such a theme template, I do have a suggestion. Why not just change the background image in one of the existing templates? Are you using a SmartScene menu, Thumbnail or Text?

With VS you can add whatever image you want as the background to your menus. So you could use a Frame saved from one of your videos, or one that you may have taken, or obtained somewhere.

With Corel's PhotoImpact you can really create or alter DVD menus to work specially with VS.

I agree with Ron. I don't think I've ever used a menu template as it came with VS. I always use a clip from my video as the background, either as a still or a motion menu.

Thank you...

Thanks for the tips on customizing the templates. Up to this point, I haven't gotten too creative with VS, mostly just using it for throwing things together and not really caring how they looked. It's nice to know that you can do all that stuff.

And Ron, the sample that you sent me was pretty much what I was looking for in the first place. Many thanks.

Ron,

Re: the sample template that you sent me...do you have that locomotive image as a JPG or anything that I could print?

Thanks,
Brian
