I find this true if using ripple editing. When ripple editing is on, you can only change the duration of one photo at a time; bummer! I don't like it either... Alaintnothin wrote:Thank you for all your screenshots!
Except, in my case the option to change duration is always dimmed (disabled) unless I am doing 1 photo at a time. They are all JPEGs.
Thanks again

I forgot about the Ripple editing, could be that is the problem.

Re: change duration of multiple images
Hi
Are you using Ripple Editing, if this is enabled then you will not be able to change the duration.
View the padlock icon to the left of timeline????
Also
The default image duration can be changed from Settings – Preferences – Edit tab, applies to newly inserted clips.
Edited
sorry Ken / Al ---- didn't see your posts on second page?

Ripple Editing problems
I had ripple editing turned on the main video track and the title track. I then increased the duration of one photo, but the title track items did not move to the right like they should. It seems to me ripple editing has a few bugs and problems. I have no idea how one reports bugs to Corel about this program; does anyone know if their is such list collection anywhere? Is Corel exploiting this user community input to improve their programs? Al

Re: change duration of multiple images
Hi Al
I have just tried to duplicate your problem.
This is what I did….
Inserted “7 images” at 10 seconds duration
Created a text under the third image.
Selected ripple Editing for both tracks.
Changed/increased the duration of “image 2”
The text moved to stay in line with “image 3”
Are you sure you had Ripple Editing turned on for the Title Track?
Ripple editing does work but is not all that intuitive and does cause me a load of headaches.
However I do understand that it is not magical.

Re: change duration of multiple images
Thanks for trying to replicate what I experienced. Not sure why it didn't work when I did it. I did have ripple editing on. It worked when I deleted a photo already inserted; it did not work when I increased the duration of a photo. I had video clips and photos beyond the point of edit, and perhaps that may be what causes the problem? I think ripple editing is very important when putting together video stories with many photos and video clips. The editing process needs to work well to allow us to fine tune a story. I don't want to be forced into doing all the duration adjustments first, then titles... Al

Re: change duration of multiple images
I also tried and was not able to replicate this. Using around 50 photos, and placing text various places. I increased/decreased durations, added and deleted photos. The text remained locked to the photos in the main video track where they were placed.
