How to backup UFO files

Post by vs »

Hi,

I have 2 PCs and each has a full license for Ulead PI. One is X3 and another is PI 12.

I have extracted friends and family as objects and saved in my library. I wish to back these up and also then was thinking about copying to my X3 instance.

is this possible? I tried normal copy, but not working, as some lock on the files. Does anyone know how to copy these files?

Also, will PI 12 objects open in X3?

Thanks in advance

For backing up your Libraries (Easy Palette) see Mary Lou's tutorial on Managing Your Easy Palette

What sort of objects are you referring to? UFO files created in PI-12 will open with all layers and objects, in PIX3, and oddly enough vice-versa. Generally the later versions of programs will not open in earlier versions..
