Fuzzy text menus after create disk

Post by rituka »

Hi All!

I'm farily new to this software. I have Ulead VS 11. I'm having trouble creating clear and crisp menus. I used the baby block template (came with the product) to create a text menu. All I've changed is the text. When I preview the menu, it looks great. When I create the DVD, the first page of the menu is clear, but page 2 and page 3 are all blurry and fuzzy. All I've changed on page 2 and 3 is the text. I played with the settings and didn't see anything that could really change the outcome. How can I make my menus look professional? Any ideas? Thanks, Rita

I must be doing something really stupid if noone is replying...

Any ideas then, how to jam 16 titles on one page?

Thanks.

Welcome to the forums,

No I can't say that you're doing something stupid. Over the last couple of days I've been attempting to replicate this, using the same template. So far I have not been able to.

Is it just the text that's appearing fuzzy and blurred, or the entire menu pages? You might try changing the Font-type and see if that helps clear things up. If you're using a Bold type of font, don't use bold.

Are you viewing your DVD on your PC or using a stand-alone player, viewing on a TV? If the latter is it a large, wide-screen, hi-def TV? Using SD (standard definition) video on a DVD and viewing it on a big-screen TV, will not be crisp and clear. The video must be enlarged to fit the screen. This is no different than enlarging a small photo on your PC. At some point the photo gets pixelated, and just looks bad.

Ron-

Thanks for your reply.

The whole page is fuzzy, not just the text. But, what is weird, that it is ONLY on page 2 and 3 of the menus. Page 1 is very clear. When I'm on page 1 and hit the next page arrows, the whole page becomes fuzzy. I do get the motion intro only on the first page, but not on page 2 or 3, so maybe that has something to do with it. If so, I would have no idea how to change that.

I'm using a large, hi-def TV to view it.

I will play with the font to see if that makes a difference.

Thanks for your help,
Rita

Well if the whole page is fuzzy, it has nothing to do with the font being used. To avoid leading you down the wrong path Please read this post, and return with as much of the information as possible.
