Slideshow chapters

I am using DVD Moviefactory 6 plus and have over a thousand holiday slides that I want to turn into a DVD with background music, transitions etc. It all seems fine - I have added chapter marks (so that viewers can jump to various parts of the holiday rather than plough through all thousand+ slides) - I have discovered that I need to mark the end of a chapter, rather than the beginning, or it misses the first slide in a section when jumping to the chapter in preview. However, I now notice that it is inconsistent and when I use the move to next chapter button on the "remote" control in preview, it goes to the 3rd or 4th slide in that section and not the first slide. I've tried everything, but cannot get the preview to go to the first slide in each chapter. Help!
