Unable To Load Library Error

Post by rara avis »

Hi,
I'm using Ulead VideoStudio Plus 11.5 with Dolby Digital PowerPack (ver 11.5.0157.2 plus). I'm trying to make a MPEG file. I keep getting an error message: "Unable To Load Library" (also happens if I try to make an AVI file). I tried this fix: "Right-click on my computer\ advanced\click setting in the performance, and in the advanced tab\change the virtual memory as the values shown below: Custom Initial Size: 1024 Maximum Size: 4096 Click 'Set', then 'Ok'. Restart your computer afterwards. TIP: Turn off all running applications including anti virus, Norton Utilities, or other memory resident programs, Internet connection, etc before running VideoStudio. If you have hardware devices that are currently connected via USB port like compact flash card reader, removable drives, or any other USB device, you might also want to unplug them temporarily too because they eat up memory as well", but it hasn't worked. Still getting the same error message. It always errors out at 12%. My slideshow picture (jpeg) count is 298. This is a very nice and expensive program. Sure hope I didn't waste my hard earned bucks! HELP!!! :(

EDIT: Forgot to mention: I'm running XP PRO SP2, I have 2 GIG of memory and plenty of hard drive space. My CPU is a Celeron 2.80GHz. The error message has a number of some type: (19151:3:3), I have no idea what that means :?:

Welcome to the forums,

This has surfaced and been addressed numerous times before. Doing a search of the forums for "Unable to Load Library" will yield several responses. For example : http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic. ... 693#144693

Found the fix!

I went back over your suggestions trying to get a handle on this error. One thing stuck in my mind...the transition effects, and how you stated several had been removed to make VS comply with Vista. I decided to investigate further. I intended to go through every transition effect. It didn't take long to find the culprit. When I clicked on the Flip effect in the 3D folder there was no transition in the preview, just a black screen. So, I navigated to the C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead VideoStudio 11\vfx_plug directory, found a file named Flip.vfx, and transferred it to a holding directory. I then restarted VS and applied all the remaining transition effects to my project (overwriting the previous effects which contained the Flip effect) and lo and behold...my project encoded to an MPEG file with nary a glitch! I can only assume that either that particular file was somehow broken or when VS support was removed for some of the effects, this one somehow was overlooked and left behind. Now, I caution, this worked for me but may not work for someone with the same error message because (as you stated) there are several fixes for this problem. I would only recommend this as a last resort due to the fact that when I moved the Flip.vfx file back into its original directory and restarted VS, it did not appear again in the 3D folder. A very happy camper at last! :D

And please see my comment on your comment, though made in the other thread since that is where I saw it first. See http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic. ... 140#166140
