Capture setting... Where is HDV option?

I am capturing fomr a canon hv30 HDV camcorder recorded in HDV.

Videostudio11+ senses a canon dv camcorder and only offers me options for dv, mpeg, vcd, svcd, and dvd. I thought it was supposed to offer me HDV as an option (a form of MPEG).

Is it working right? What should I do?

thanks.

To capture HDV you have to set your camera to output HDV.
I don't have Canon but my Sony HDR-HC1 requires it have the iLink conversion off and the camera output set to HDV or Auto.

If your camera is set properly it will show up in the device manager under Sound, Video and game controllers as a AV/C device.

If your settings are not right to capture HDV your camera will show up directly under Device Manager as a canon dv camcorder.

If you still cannot connect try to install the latest Direct X.

very interesting. I am not with my camera now but I will check.

I was exporting to my dvd recorder with no recognition...but I have a vague memory that I changed output to DV at that time. I will have to check!

This is now the third posting I have seen from you on exactly the same question. I have already locked one thread, and answered the second at http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic. ... 045#166045 Please look at that one and continue the thread there. But I am going to now lock this one too! And please don't start another thread on the same subject...
