Hi all

Long time user first time poster. I did some searching but couldnt find the right thing to ask so here goes

I have been editing using Ulead for about 5 years and had my run of the mill problems and got most sorted out.
My latest is a curly one so here goes.
As i film and edit Rugby league games i have a standard opening sequence that i use on all my videos. I just open the saved link and add the new footage.

This latest video when i get to the stage of creating the video file or even burning a DVD Ulead 11 seems to crash at the title creation screen. By crash i mean it looks all good and keeps running but seems to have stalled at the creating titles. I CTRL ALT DEL and see Ulead is not responding. So i close and try again. Same problem when creating the movie.

Things ive tried.. Deleteing ulead and reinstalling.
Cleared all temp directorys of previous projects.
Defragged C drive and my video drive.
Tried making a video without a title screen.
Removed images. Why is because there is a small white square on the image slides in the timeline that i dont recall seeing before. It looks like an L.
I did notice a red line through the timeline before all this happened and relised i had trimmed the main video so fixed that.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi

Have you tried capturing the footage again, just in case you have a corrupt file.
Do you have a problem using the captured video on its own, with no editing?

The red line shows when you have selected a ¡¥project playback¡¦ area on the timeline.
If in project playback, move the trim bars under the preview screen to set. Move to ends to remove red line.

If in clip mode the trim bars will actually trim the clip.

The icon ¡¥L¡¦ seems to indicate that the image clip is in the overlay track, other than that I do not know

Cant recapture the video as i have stripped the Tape.
I solved the problem by rebuilding the entire video and checking at different stages to see if it would render. Like you said must have been a bad clip. I used all the same clips but changed the starting and ending points and changed the order. Just another of those quirky problems. No clips were removed.
