(My car doesn't work ... why?

Before being able to answer, you must give us some central information: what are the properties of the project? The origin of the video ... The steps you followed... The way you captured the video... What version of VS are you using etc. With this information perhaps we can give you an answer ...)

you r right :roll:
well, clips got from hd camera
edit clip by clip, added of music, a typical holydays movie.
Next step is create a dvd, viewable on standalone dvd reader, as usually.
At this time, and only at this time, program crashed..."program esecuted, etc etc" and i must stop program by task manager, cause it isn't able to close by itself.
A curious note: i retrived to install last patch from corel site:when patch installing an error occured "no one video studio on ur pc detected".......strange, right?
nb: i retrieved uninstall and fixed a new installation of the program. Problem persists.
I try with "create an mpeg file"...it seems able to do it, but seems very very slowly.
i've a xp version pack 3; ram 2 gb: i think that isn't this the problem, but what else?
No changed before this crash, only one is a different antivirus, but it isn't, i'm (relatively) sure......

When you say 'HD camera' do you mean a High Definition (HD) camera or a hard disk drive (HDD) camera, or both? What is the brand and model of the camera?

Can you also click on one of the video files from to camera, please. Do it in the Video Studio timeline or in the library window. And copy ALL its properties here please.

Next, can you confirm that after you did your edits, you first converting your project to a new DVD-compatible mpeg-2 (Share > Create Video File > DVD). If so, what properties did you use for that?

Or did you finish your editing and go straight to the burning module (Share > Create Disc > DVD)?

dear Ken,
maybe i'm lucky, maybe god action, today, with no reason, without any change, rendering goes well, and i got my dvd.....yes..and it works well on my tv.
ps: my camera is jvc everio hdd 30 gb, used usually in ultrafine mode.
setting of sharing (of vs) is based on your old suggestions at my old question...minimum bit rate, burning dvd at very slow speed. it seems work right.
boh???? at your next precious suggestion.
thanks for all :wink:

Not sure you have a High Definition Camcorder. The Phrase JVC Eviro covers a wide range of different camcorders.
Please view JVC Eviro Camcorders

HDD = the recording medium - example tape, disc drive, hard drive.
In your case Hard Disc Drive

It sounds very similar to the recording format
HD = High Definition
DV = Digital Video
etc.

I remember last Christmas my eldest son purchasing what he thought was a HD camcorder when in fact it turned out to be a HDD camcorder and records in a poor quality MOV format that has to be converted to MPEG2 before I am able to edit anything he takes with it.

in fact, i say hdd for "hard disk drive", hd was typed wrong without a "D".
Problems weren't never from camcorder but from video studio.
I'm not a great user of recorder device, or video studio, but i'm not thus foolish not to understand the difference 8)
Thank you for your definition
ps: the right term is "everio" not eviro :wink:
