In DVD menu there is an arrow or a border indicating active menu item. When I'm making DVD position of this arrow or border is correct but in final DVD it's shifted significantly. As a result one can't understand wich chapter he's going to select.

You can display on the Menu Creation screen the current position of the arrow etc. by ticking the "show Highlight" option. If it is not where you would like it to be you can drag it with your mouse.

I'm using standart templates comes with MF.
And when I'm editing menu the arrow is on right place but after DVD is made it is shifted. I tested DVD on a PC and on a DVD-player. Both shows same shift.

I think that something wrong with MF or templates.

I take it you are using a Toshiba Laptop pre-installed with Vista and MovieFactory 5.
Please click here --> Image so that we can then view your system specifications.

What we need is some information regarding the source of the material you are using. This could be as simple as still images from a digital camera or cell phone to something as elaborate as a complete Home Movie Production studio. You may have downloaded stuff off the internet or simply extracted something off a DVD disc.

For a guide of the information we need please

For one DVD I use MOV files from a digital still camera.
For other DVD I've imported video from miniDVD disks.

Try this : Click Settings and Options > Preferences > Advanced > TV safe area :10. Change this setting to 15 or 20.
Now go back to the Menu step 2 and click on the Edit tab. Click on the Highlight button to select it. Hold the mouse button over the selected icon till it changes to a + cross. Now drag the icon so that it is in the inside of the safe area boundary markings.
All TV display areas are not calibrated exactly the same, and so this results in images sometimes 'over-scanning' the viewable area. Hence the TV safe area idea.
Steve - does this count as a "post" ? :D

The menu you have selected is 05_SceB06
Are you having the problem with the misplaced highlight frame with just this particular menu or with all of the thumbnail menus?

I just created a short test DVD to a hard drive folder using
MovieFactory 5 for Toshiba and used that particular menu in 4.3 mode
I then opened it with Corel WinDVD 9 and it worked perfectly.

In case you have a corrupted menu template I have uploaded my copy here

I'm using Intervideo WinDVD for Toshiba and Panasonic standalone DVD player. Both failed.
