media studio pro 7 - display time/date
If your Sony cam has a menu option for character output, it will be able to burn the time/date stamp on your video and will be displayed after firewire transfer. If your camera does not have this feature, you have 2 options.
1) Use DVdate, this utility will burn the actual recorded time/date stamp by your camera over your video and can be customized.

2) Use Robotiq Timecode filter. This will overlay a fake time/date stamp over your video by your input values.

Hope this helps.
