MF6: Pan & Zoom effect

Post by aligillon »

Is it possible to customize the 'pan & zoom' for each individual photo included within a slideshow?

For example, lets say i have created a slideshow containing four parts, each part containing 10 photo's (total slideshow 40 photo's). For each part containing 10 photo's i have various 'random' pan & zoom options to choose from. I see this as a useless feature however becuase the pan/zoom in random mode never starts or ends at the correct points.

So, over to customize. For example, part 1 of my slideshow containing 10 photo's. I set the first photo so that it pans slightly from left to right at the same time zooming out. Great, thats perfect for the first photo. However, this exact same setting is now locked and will automatically be used for all 10 photo's featured in part 1. I can change it for part 2, but again only one pan & zoom effect can be used for all 10 photo's. Whats the use of that, please tell me?

I'm concerned i may be missing something and not getting the best out of this programmes pan & zoom effect. I previously had MF 3.5 but upgraded to MF6 as i wanted the pan & zoom effect. However, as it appears to me to be as i have described above, then its useless to me. Pan & zoom is a specific feature that requires each individual photo to be set accordingly, without that ability, i just cannot see its purpose.

Please advise me wether it is possible or not to customize each individual photo with the pan & zoom effect or not, thanks!

Regards
Ali

To try and simplify my question:

Can the 'pan & zoom' effect be attached to one individual picture within a chapter, or must the same 'pan & zoom' effect be set for all pictures within one individual chapter?

I don't know about MF, but VideoStudio allows you to completely customize each Pan & Zoom effect.

Thanks

I've not used VideoStudio before, but i'm guessing its probably not ideally suited to making family picture (no video) presentation DVD's? Please correct me if i'm wrong and i will give the trial version a go!

VideoStudio is suitable for creating slide shows for DVD and you can use pan and zoom on an individual per picture basis.
