Canopus Procode into DVD WORKSHOP???

Post by Jonnie the Saint »

Hi All,

I have encoded a quicktime reference movie (that came out of an Avid Express DV export) in Canopus Procoder using Procoder's standard template for DVD ouput (Pal res.). This gives an Mpeg2 file for picture, and a separate wav file for sound.
I then want to author these to DVD with DVDWorkshop but can't work out how to load the sound aswell as the picture.....?

I load the mpeg2 file (xxx.m2v) into a DVD Workshop project but it is obviously mute as the sound is contained in the separate wav file (xxx.wav) that isn't being loaded.

How can i burn both sound and picture together? Sorry if this seems like a lamer question but i can't work it out! Maybe DVDWS can only handle mpegs that include picture and sound in the same file? If so, how should i output it from Procoder. (i'm using Procoder cause the encoding in DVDWS seems to take a lot longer)

Any help would be really appreciated(!).

Thanks very much.

In DVD WS 1.x
Right-click on the video on your timeline, then "select a replacement audio file"

In DVD WS 2.x
In the EDIT step, click on your movie on the timeline, then hit the AUDIO tab near the top left. You can then add in your audio track.

Or don't use the standard template -- customize the Target settings to produce a program stream that contains both audio and video.
