QUALITY ISSUE IN BOTH VS 7 and 9

Why is the video rendered so poor and flickering when played on TV ?
The video clips captured looks fine when played before rendering . But after a VCD, SVCD or DVD is created the video looses more quality. Is there a way to improve this ?

My projects look fine.

Are you using PAL or NTSC? What are the project's settings and how are you capturing the content?

I capture from vhs using grabster 400 and my project is pal.
The video looks fine on pc but flicker after rendering.

Hi,

Check your Project Properties, and under the General tab, change the field order.

You all seem to be able to capture analog signals using videostudio and terratec 400 grabster.
My experience is different : no capture at all from the grabster with videostudio 7 SE, but capture is fine with DVD MovieFactory 3... which solves my problem.
Might be you can give me some suggestion on what is going on?
