Hello,
Strange request - i'm using video editor to play with my AVCHD files. When i go to do anything like import clips and especially when i choose "Create Video Files" the file is created then it starts to render - Ulead only uses between 15 and 50% CPU.
How can i make Ulead use all my CPU; it would do it in twice the time.
Please note i have tried the tip posted here about setting the process thread to high. My laptop is only a core 2 duo 2ghz with 3gig of ram. And When any .m2ts (avchd) is played back the CPU use is 80-90%. But rendering on the method described above is being v.conservative.
Thanks all,
Can i force VS to use more CPU?

Run a Program in High Priority
Apart from that other improvements that can be made are detailed here:
Creating a Video Editing Profile.
Then there are the obvious steps you can make regarding defragmentation of hard drives, installing more RAM and (what I consider to be a bit risky) over clocking.
