advice on new program-been using Print House/photo house

Hello all you lovely clever people out there-I am hoping for some advice-when I got my 1st computer in 2000 it came bundled with Corel Print House/Photo house which I have been happily using alongside adobe photo shop-I just do a bit of tinkering with photos and use print house for designing sheets to go inside dvd cases and inserts for the greeting cards which I make-I loved the program and it was easy to use but now I have vista and the program is so old it won't work-I downloaded Media 1 to try and I like it so far (especially smilebox as I am a crafter/scrapbooker ) My question is -is there anything BETTER ? or is there anything I can do to get print house to work on Vista home edition -I am a mature (?) student so I can't afford to spend a lot or make a mistake -as it does not do all the things that the other program did - thanking you in anticipation -Jenny

I had never heard of these programs before you posted this.
