Every time I try to open a jpeg file either from an email or through PhotoImpact 8, I get an error message (this is a new development for a program I've had a long time with no real issues.) Today it was ledit.exe Application error, instruction at OxOOcOe22e referenced memory at OxOOOOcccc. The memory could not be read. I keep trying to debug it and send error reports, but to no avail. The program encounters a problem and needs to close. I have the original CD's, but have since downloaded one patch in 2005. Since Ulead no longer supports this older (yet simple) educational version, is there still a patch I can download or some way to fix the problem. While I can uninstall it, I am worried about the reinstall from the original CD's and not having access to previous and new patches.
I'm not sure if this started after I loaded a closet design program or if Microsoft or McAfee updates might caused this issue.
This couldn't happen at a worse time as I am trying to create a new website and desperately need to access jpeg and gif files. I've also noticed gif files don't quite open the same way/in a full window. I would greatly appreciate the collective wisdom of such a forum. Thanks!
