i know it has to be simple but it has me stumped this is driving me crazy and I am not going to buy it till i figure this out or someone helps me
I CANNOT CREATE AN HTML THAT WILL WORK

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? THIS WAS IN THE HELP PAGE FOR CREATING HTML
"make sure that your GIF file is in the same directory as the Web page. "

ok I made a gif (very nice)
then I went to export as HTML
it created another item in my doc
I openned it with notepad saw the html
but when I pasted it it only gave me an empty box nothing in it..
now can someone please help me!!!!!!!!!!

Um, pasted your HTML to where?

If the GIF file you made isn't in the same folder as the HTML document, just as the Help told you, you aren't going to see it. The HTML document that is created assumes the GIF is in the same folder. If it isn't, then the web browser can't find it.

An HTML document is just a text file, using the "HyperText Markup Language." It can't contain images. It can contain a REFERENCE to an image, to tell the web browser where to find it so it can be displayed. That's why the GIF has to be in the same folder/directory as the HTML file, unless you specify that it's somewhere else.

If you plan on doing anything with HTML, it would be good to start learning now... http://www.make-a-web-site.com/ or http://www.jmarshall.com/easy/html/.

You don't need GIF Animator 5 to make a web page. It's for making GIF animations. Don't expect it to make a web site for you. That's what Dreamweaver and the like are for. Try out a freebie, such as Alleycode. That is what you can make a website with.

ok I guess i am not making it clear enough

I know that gif animator only makes gifs

I usually use a web hosting like tiny pic to make my htmls to paste into my webpage.

But I thought if I am going to create gifs in this animator I might as well use their html thing.

I don't have to know all about html to do this I just need to know how to get a decent html like i get with tinypic..

All the Export as HTML is going to do is give you a really small file with an IMG tag. Just enough HTML code to display an image. You still need to upload the GIF file to the site, in the same place you're putting the HTML. If you want to use HTML, you will at least have to learn a little bit...

I've never heard of Tiny Pic, so am not familiar at all with how that setup works.
