Newbie....Capture problem

Post by ibbotson »

I previously had VS6 and have just downloaded VS11 trial to check if it's OK for my devices before purchase. I am having a problem to test out my capture device Belkin Hi-Speed 2.0 DVD Creator......When I run a video on playback I receive a good picture but no sound, and when I press the capture button I receive a error message "cannot open capture graph" Could any one assist.

Regards

You'll probably have to use the capture software that came with the device, or if VS6 works with the Belkin device, you can use VS6 for the capture step.

Once you have a digital file on your hard drive, you can try-out VS11.

It's usually best to use the software that's made to work with your analog capture device, because apparently, there are no industry standards for how capture-hardware/drivers interact with capture-software.
