Fade out titles
Fade out titles
I need a step by step tutorial about how to fade out titles, ive done it before but i forgot, i remember you need to use the overlay and then keyframe.
I do it a little differently... I put a short green colour clip on the timeline (of whatever length I want the fade to occur) and then add a green screen overlay to it - once it's overlaid on top of the beginning of the end of the title clip (or any other clip I want to fade without impacting the lower timelines), the fade happens...
Just putting a solid colour clip without the transparency doesn't work as it messes up the other clips you've overlaid the title onto.
There's a bunch of different ways to accomplish the same thing in this software. It's a pity its now 'abandonware'...

Unfortunately, you forgot to act on the "PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE POSTING" thread, otherwise you would have known to tell us which version you have and we would have known your hardware. In MSP8, the simplest way is to use a standard 0>100% transparency overlay and add one keyframe where you want the fade-out to start and make that the same as the 0% keyframe.
