Hello, I have finished a project in HD and want to place it on You Tube. I used the VS upload to You Tube but the quality is terrible. It is a WMV file. It looks ok before I upload it.
My question is: Is there a better way of getting the quality better for UT from HD in VS. I know that UT regardless of the file format uses it¡¦s own compression to FL file.

You Tube now lets you upload HD videos and they can be viewed that way by clicking a button at the bottom of the video screen that says: " Click here for High Definition".
Many blogs explain how to do this by using different video programs. I would like to be able to do it in VS.
You Tube is not limiting you to 100 MB, it is now 1 Gig.
You can use higher Bitrates up to 2000.
Video size now can be 640 x 360 or higher.

It may not be HD as we are used to on our HDTV but any improvement is better than (their so called) Standard Definition.

If you have the Windows Media 9 Encoder Series installed, you can use a higher-def profile. In the Share step, do not select the Share Video On-Line option. Use Create Video File>WMV>WMV HD 1080p or 720, or select Custom, then WMV as the file type, and press the Option button, and go to the Profile tab to select one of the High or Ultra High Quality profiles.

Once you have the WMV file created, then go back to the Share Step, select Share Video On-Line, and Browse for WMV file, and browse to the location of the High-Quality WMV you just created.
