I am french, sorry for my english !! I had buying the program Video Studio 9 SE DVD and when i want tio create DVD from project, i have an error vstudi.exe -> uvmpeg2.dll an the program stopping.
I had on XP pro .

Try checking to see if you have that file installed. The correct name of the file would be uvMPEG2.dll. The MPEG needs to be in capitol letters in order for Windows search to locate it. The file should be located in the C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead VideoStudio 9.0 folder.

Right-clicking on the uvMPEG2.dll file, and selecting Properties, will open the properties dialog for that file. Click on the Version tab. You will see 2 panes. In the left pane, select either File version or Product version, which should reveal in the right pane to be 8.0.0.0.

If you can not locate that file on your system, then I would suspect a faulty installation, which would require you to re-install the program.

Since you're version is an SE version, which are bundled with hardware, could you advise what specific hardware you purchased (make/model ect..)?

SE versions are sometimes tweaked by the hardware manufacturer to work specifically with their product, and Ulead/Corel is not provided with the code the manufacturer's used to modify the program.

Finally did this problem just occur? Have you been able to use the program, create video files, anytime prior to this? If so that would indicate something has changed on your system, that is now causing the problem. So you need to think about all changes that have occurred since that last time you were able to use the program without problems. Windows updates seem to break some aspects of VS, and are corrected by downloading and installing the latest DirectX drivers from Microsoft.

Thank you for your answer. But the file uvMPEG2.dll is good. I have installed the last DirectX files and i always have the problem. My Engraver of DVD is a Philips. With the VideoStudio9 i made Video project with no problem but when i want create the DVD (an ISO image file on my hard disk for exemple) and Bitter 40 seconds the program stop with the error :
Exception information
Code : 0xc0000005 ....

Module 1
vstudio.exe .....

What do i do ???

Try creating a video file first, (Share>Create Video File). The video file should be a DVD compatible MPEG-2. Once the video file is created then clear your project timeline (File>New Project). Do not put anything in the timeline, go to Share>Create Disc to open the burn module.

In the burn module, insert your newly created video file, which should be a DVD compatible MPEG-2. Then continue on, adding chapters and building your menus. Finally burn your disc, folders or ISO image file...

If i try creating a video file by Share>Create Video File, i had not access to this menu (only creat ea disk).

Again I suggest that there is a problem with the uvMPEG2 driver file. When you go directly to the burn module using a project file (VSP), VS must still create DVD compatible MPEG-2 video files, so that it can be burnt to disc, or the DVD folders or ISO image files can be created. Then once the disc or whatever is done, VS deletes the MPEG-2 files it temporarily created.

Our Suggested workflow is just to create the MPEG-2 files prior to burning, so that it takes the extreme demand off of the PC, placed there when trying to do it all in one step.

Try doing a complete un-install/re-install. Ulead programs leave a lot of files behind. So just doing a simple add/remove programs from the control panel and then re-installing may not correct some issues. Instructions can be found here : Re-installation of Ulead Products
