DVD MOVIEFACTORY 7 PRO TRIAL & PROBLEM WITH MENU TEMPLAT
DVD MOVIEFACTORY 7 PRO TRIAL & PROBLEM WITH MENU TEMPLAT
I have downloaded the austrialian TRIAL VERSION that, as i read from the web page, would it be FULLY FUNCTIONAL.
However, after i have installed it i can i only choose from 6 menu template while i read on the preview page that they would be at least 100.
I try to reinstall the software but the problem still remain the same, i check in the directory "content" and the files seem to be listed, why i can't see the menu when i try to make a DVD ?
Do you have the same problem with the TRIAL VERSION ?
Thanks,
Fabio

Welcome to the forums,
Fully Functional does not mean that it includes all the content, such as templates. Most all trial versions, regardless of manufacturer will only include a small sampling of the content. This is just to entice you into purchasing, and to allow you to see if the program will do what you would like it to do before purchasing.
So a simple analogy would be a car at the dealership. They have models that have the bear essentials and ones that are loaded to the gills. Both are fully functional, however one has a lot more content than the other...

Ron, maybe, but I think it's related more to the size of the download. This is just to entice you into purchasing,
The contents folder alone is 465Megs, the Menu templates take up 374Megs.
The 100 templates is referencing a total for all of the different projects, vcd/svcd/dvd/avchd/blu-ray/BD-J and also including dvd-audio, dvd-video(audio only) templates.
The templates that are listed depend on your project. There are different templates for 4x3 projects versus a 16x9 projects, so you will not see 100 templates listed for every project. (But you can customize them and they should be saved under your "Favorites" when you use that same project again Ex: A 4x3 DVD Project).
The 100 templates is a total of all combined available project templates..
You can really customize the existing templates & re-use them.
My opinion, MF7Pro is a very good program.

FWIW, I only got one download link for the full purchased download version of the program. The file was in .zip format and 685 MB in size. I am assuming that it contains everything, including all the content.
Also, for what it is worth, I just did a quick count of all available menu templates for a 16:9 standard DVD, and there are 68.

Trial versions are fully functional but do not include all of the available templates. You can see a preview of the FULL version here:

I bought the download version it and ALL the content was missing. Their should be 3 download files. I only received one.
Of course Corel didn't answer my question about it. Someone else on this forum has been so nice to provide me with the links to the content and bonus material and now I've got it all. Everything works great.
Pity the support at Corel is non-existent. The Ulead products deserve better.
BTW. I work with DVD PAL 16:9 and there are about 65 different templates. As mentioned by Ken it's so easy to modify an existent template and save this as a new one.

Unfortunately No.Baikonur wrote:I have MFP6 HD I want to know what are the differences with MFP7 a part from what looks like some what of a different interface. I also have DVD workshop I want to know if MFP7 is closer to DVD Workshop manual menu building menu wise?
To create a menu from scratch you still need either DVD Workshop or alternatively PhotoImpact. No play list function either.
When DMF7 is released round the rest of the world - hopefully soon - I shall start a new wish list off. These items will be high on my list of suggested enhancements (again.)

My thoughts as well. Besides redesigning the menus for the visually impaired, I find it hard to justify spending $100 for just that. I have no use for Blu-Ray features. The only thing that caught my eye was the "note" thing for menus. Not exactly sure what that is to be used for besides adding a menu text object????sjj1805 wrote:Unfortunately No.

I too have the need for complex menu editing. For instance, I need to create a DVD with the top-most menu with two items pointing to 2-sub-menus. One sub-menu would contain another sub-menu to then point to 3-chapters/videos. The other sub-menu would point to 3-videos.
DVDMF6/7 don't seem to have this ability and Workshop hasn't been upgraded in 2-years and is probably a dead product. I was hoping the DVDMF7 "pro" version would include extensive menu editing.
Unfortunately, I had to go to Roxio for this project and their Sonic MyDVD DVD menu creation is way more extensive/capable then DVDMF and I got the package for $50 on sale.
I installed MF7 and noticed the limited menu templates so I thought I would try something. I went to
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel DVD MovieFactory 7\Corel DVD MovieFactory 7\Content and changed the name of the Menu Template folder to Menu Template-old (for safety purposes), then I went to
C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead DVD MovieFactory 6\Ulead DVD MovieFactory 6\Content and copied the the Menu Template folder and pasted it into the MF7 Content folder, then started MF7 an all the menu templates were there and functional. Hope this is useful.
