I've been using PI since version 5, so I'm not really a newbie at it. However, since PI 12, I've noticed the focus preview doesn't work. I thought it was just 'something' with my installation and/or computer, so I made do with it. Yesterday I upgraded to PI X3 and noticed it still isn't working. Is this a bug, or is it just my computer?
System info, in case it helps:

As you can see in the screen cap, the 'preview' isn't functional. It doesn't pop up or have an outline when the mouse is over it like other 'buttons', such as the one beside it. As with any other preview, I would expect the focus window to minimize and give the undo, redo, ok and cancel options, but it just stays put. In order to see if I want to accept the focus, I have to OK it, then undo if it's not what I want.
Before I posted yesterday, I did a search but nothing came up. Today I decided to just search for focus preview, no PI version and there was one hit from January 2005: http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic. ... view+focus
It seems this person has a similar problem to mine. Unlike him though, it doesn't affect the magnification I'm using, it just doesn't allow a focus preview. Since I went from PI XL directly to PI 12, and now PI X3, I can't say whether it would or wouldn't have worked for me in PI 10, but there wasn't any problem for me in the previous versions, PI 5 and PI XL.
All other preview functions that I've tried work properly.
System info:
Processor Type AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 3800+
Processor Speed 2.0GHz
RAM 1GB PC3200 DDR1 SDRAM
Hard Drive 250GB (7200RPM) Serial ATA
Optical Drives Dual Layer 16X DVD+/-RW With Lightscribe
Graphics Card nVidia GeForce 6150LE
Cache 512KB+ 512KB, 512KB L2
I don't believe it's something to do with the computer, since it didn't work on my previous computer, much the same as this one but not as much RAM and smaller HD.

The second window isn't really good for seeing the full effect of the focus adjustment. It can give you an idea of how it looks, but being small, it the detail just isn't there. I like to see what's going on in the real image, so the preview really comes in handy.
I assume this is a bug after all? If so, then what's the next step - is it worth submitting a bug report, and what's the best way to go about it?
Thanks for helping me out, and proving that I'm not nuts

I submitted a bug report via their website and got a reply today:

I can't imagine how nobody else found and/or submitted a report about it earlier, PI 12 has been out for quite a while. Maybe I'm the only one who uses the focus previewThis issue has been reported to engineering. I have noted yout inquiry for evaluation within Corel Research and Developmemt department. It will need to be resolved in a service pack release to correct the problem.
