Do you think a Ford gearbox will fit onto a Toyota? Of course not! So why would you think you can take parts of one proggy and fit it into another?

I wasn't talking about trans for auto or trucks. The only thing I was wondering was if you could use the transition effects on the Sony programs with the Ulead. This is from your own Site Admin>> If you still have VS10 on your system you can copy/paste all of the content from the vft folder in VS10 to the vft folder in VS11. Quite handy if you have lots of other additional transitions such as Hollywood FX, Adorage, Boris etc.
Do those last three transition programs come with Ulead???? I didn't think so, but yet they work with Ulead....for a moderator that was a piss poor answer you gave a new member...thanks for your advice. :o

The thing is that Canopus VideoFX, Hollywood FX, Adorage, Boris etc are specifically transition/effects programs which have plug-ins that allow them to work with Video Studio and other editing programs. Vegas is a full editing program, with its own set of tailor made transitions (just as VS has its own tailor made transitions). Those other programs have plug-ins that allow them to work with Vegas as well (or at least most of them do).

But the tailor-made ones that come with each editing suite are tailor made for that program and that program alone. So VS's tailor-made transitions won't work in Vegas, and vice versa.

For a list of third party transitions that will work with VideoStudio please view:
Free Stuff for use with Ulead Products
and also
ThirdParty Commercial Software for Intervideo-Ulead products

Sony - a competitor company - have not made any plug ins available to enable their transitions to work with Corels "Ulead" range of products.

:D That reminds me of a very funny song - You just need the correct adapter kit! :D
...The transmission was a '53
And the motor turned out to be a '73
And when we tried to put in the bolts all the holes were gone.

So we drilled it out so that it would fit
And with a little bit of help little from an adapter kit
We had that engine running just like a song...
One Piece At A Time, by johnny Cash.

(That really isn't the funny part of the song...)
