Hi

for some odd reason when i open my project file it couldnt find some of the video clips, so what i then did was try to relink them although an error message appears when ever I link the clips together:
The duration of the selected file should be longer than 00:01:34:08

I dont understand why this is happening, i mean they are the exact same clip?

Is there any work around? I already finished my project (which took me foreverrrrr to complete) and now suddenly this happens.

Hi

If you rename a file or move a file in on the hard drive then VS will not find it and request a relink.

The top of the relink window shows the file that the project is looking for.

The warning The duration of the selected file should be longer than 00:01:34:08 indicates that you have selected the wrong file, and are trying to link to a file having a duration shorter than 00:01:34:08

Be careful when re-linking VS will accept the wrong file, providing it is the same type and longer than the original. Read the info on the re-link window and the browse window. These indicate the file name and last known location.

If you do not want to see the re-link do not move or rename your files when using them in a project.
