Another DEP problem

Post by Strategist »

Hello all

I am using Ulead DVD Movie Factory 6 on Vista Ultimate.
When I am trying to copy .avi files using Ulead Burn. Now, I get the following message
"Ulead Burn.Now has stopped working"
with the details
Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BEX
Application Name: BurnNow.exe
Application Version: 4.5.0.0
Application Timestamp: 45b2207d
Fault Module Name: StackHash_b39a
Fault Module Version: 0.0.0.0
Fault Module Timestamp: 00000000
Exception Offset: 04ca415b
Exception Code: c0000005
Exception Data: 00000008
OS Version: 6.0.6000.2.0.0.256.1
Locale ID: 1033
Additional Information 1: b39a
Additional Information 2: 7fd0e6833af528e0b24bd64c43761fad
Additional Information 3: 4f9d
Additional Information 4: f1bb30a5a51ff26c54c1306eeb485617
This is obviously a DEP-related problem, as Data Execution Prevention closes down Ulead. Does anyone know how I can resolve this?

Thanks a lot.

Cheers. Isn't the tutorial for XP though?
I have Vista.

Plus, if I understand it well, it refers to the Video Studio, not to the DVD Movie Factory.

Strategist,

My opinion, I don't think it's DEP, Windows will tell you it's a DEP problem.

It sounds more like your experiencing an application fault.
Probably a problem with either the video or audio codec(s) used in your avi source files.
