Serial Number - trouble upgrading from PI 10

I currently have PI 10 (was purchased back in 2004 as a download and a disk was also sent to me from element5. ) I am now wanting to upgrade to the new X3 version.

My PI 10 shows no serial number when I click on the help >> about photoimpact. (There is just a blank space after the words "serial number:" The disk itself has no serial number (only a reference number) and the original emails from element5 with download links etc. also give no serial number. So how do I upgrade. I can't get past the first step without the serial number.

Not to worry. I was able to retrieve my serial number by logging into my account at Corel.
