I haven;t got round to installing VS11 yet, but I presume I can install just VS11 if I have 11.5 disc?

I can't speak to the disk since I'm using downloaded files but there is an executable: UVS11Plus_E.exe that installs 11.0.0157.0 Plus. There is a separate file: UVS11_Plus_ESD_ENG_PowerPack.exe that upgrades it to 11.5+

You may also have the separate files on the disk. If so don't let it autorun. Just run the first file and install the content:UVS11Plus_ESD_E_Content.exe

I recently bought VS 11.5 thinking this would help but it hasen't so far.

I am able to import the .TS file and slowly edit but the audio doesn't import with it.

I tried converting using the bundled mp4 box which converts the .TS file to a .mp4 file but I get a file mismatch error when trying to import into VS 11.5. I thought the program could edit .mp4 files?

If any of you have any suggestions, I will be very grateful.
Hi

I had the same problem, but has solved the problem as follows:

You need H1R (the HDPVR V1 Reworker) free program from West Leitrim Software. This program will read the .ts and will output a new .m2ts file which you can edit frame accurate with VS11.5P. With a quad q6660 VS11.5P will encode 1 minute AVCHD in 3 minutes. 1 minute output will be round 90MB with 100% quality setting under compression & Video data rate at max. 18000 kbps

Hi

I forgot to mention that some dependencies
need with H1R( Haali Media Splitter) did make VS11.5P very unstable.
Therefore I run H1R on a different computer & edit on q6600 quad with
VS11.5P without H1R and the dependent programs

1. Installing H1R

Unzip the distribution file into a directory of your choice. Then deal with each of the following dependencies:

Obtain a current version of tsmuxer.exe and unzip/copy it into the exact same directory as the H1R executable.

Verify that you have the Haali Media Splitter installed. If you have CoreAVC, it should have been installed with it. If it is not already on your system, you will need to find, download, and install it.

The audio conversion graph also uses two of the filters that are installed with the HDPVR's bundled ArcSoft package. If you did not install the ArcSoft package, you will need to do that before using H1R.

You need to have the .NET Version 2.0 Runtime installed in order to run H1R. In the unlikely event this is not already on your system, you need to download it from Microsoft and install it.

Hi

Here is an alternative method if if you will not use H1R program & the dependencies.

1. Make a AVCHD DVD Disc with the supplied Arcsoft Total Media Extreme & output the BDMV to Hard Disc.
2. Under BDMV/Streams you will find the input capture footage as
00000, 00001, 00002 .....
3. Use Video Studio 11.5 Plus software to edit the Streams.

A solution I found is to use TSmuxeR from smlabs.net to convert the ts files to m2ts ( 1.5GB takes about 6 minutes) Then use VS11.5 Plus to edit out commercials.

I gave it a try too with the same results; no audio. Interestingly the preview dialog of the clip plays audio but the app doesn't.

Solved (for me at least)

Folks,

It looks like this was a Hauppauge capture driver problem that is solved by the latest download:

Happy editing.

Solution To MP4 Video miss match when importing em..

Post by laidback »

Hi all,

For those who have camcorders, that spew out *.Mp4 H.264 video..

Try the following..

First Install Quick Time, Next, Before importing the raw files from the Camcorder or the memory card, locate them and rename them to the following... "File-name.Mov"

For example..

My raw video files in the camcorder are named as such,

image 001.MP4
image 002.MP4
image 003.MP4
etc, etc,

Now if your videos show up on your computer without the MP4 extension
as per the following,
image 001
image 002
image 003
etc, etc,

you may have to change the folders options so that the extensions to files are seen..

Once you have confirmed your videos are with the extension of MP4
copy one to the desk top and rename the extension from .MP4 to .Mov
as shown below,

image 001.Mov

And then fire up VideoStudio and try and import the file, if it imports - Lucky you!

You may now proceed to change all the rest of your Raw videos extensions before or just after importing them to your computer..

For those who's files are not with the extension .MP4 may also try changing the extension to "*.Mov" or if that doesnt work any other well known extensions - such as .mpg .Mts or .ts or even .MP4 as it just may work that way for you..

BTW some one earlier mentioned a Try before you buy VideoStudio importing a video, but when they purchased VideoStudio, it failed to import the very same video, Sadly much the same happened to me, but I was using Uleads Studio 10 Plus at the time, when I decided to try ProX2 and because it imported my MP4 files and edited them with out any problems, I got it - but as soon as I installed my Ultimate upgrade of Pro X2, my woes began, as it didn't import my MP4 videos as the TBYB Version did.. I was fume-ing I am sure I was frophing from my mouth for days nay weeks!

I was lucky that my brother got a different HD camcorder that also spewed out H.264 MP4 videos, but his videos used the .Mov extension to his raw video files, so when I got home that day, I re-installed and fired up what I thought at the time was a piece of sheet, and imported for the first time my MP4 videos! why does Corel do this!????

Hope my suggestion works..

Good luck and cheers,

Oh and let me know if I have helped..

Pete..
May The universe return
1000 fold what you give.
BTW - GUYS/Gals, I am Using an AMD Athlon 64 quad Core 3.1 GHz, 4 gigs of memory, GA-880GM-UD2H motherboard, PCIe GTS 450 Graphics, 1 TB sata drive, BluRay Burner.
