Unable to make DVD Menus in VS 11.5+

I filmed a retirement dinner for a friend that consisted, in large part, of many long speeches. I'm using VS 11.5+ with all of the latest updates on a three year old XP Pro machine with 2 GB RAM. FWIW, I replaced Norton A/V with McAfee to, hopefully, reduce all the incompatibility problems Norton was causing..

I had no problems with the capturing, editing and setting chapters on the project to be burned to DVD. I want to show each speaker as a separate chapter on the DVD Menu and have spent the better part of the past two days trying, without success, to get through this next step.

I have created a template labeled "X's Retirement", saved to my favorites, which opens when I click "X's Retirement" that appears in the selection box just under "Main Menu"

It shows all 10 chapters that I created and is just what I want...However, when I click the preview remote icon, what appears is the original menu template which I used as the basis for the one I created, with only one chapter box that plays the entire film. There is no sign of the additional chapters that should be there and I have no idea how to get my menu to show and burn or where it went.

I've repaired the VS installation, reread the manual, looked at the tutorials covering this aspect of things...all to no avail. I don't know if this is a program glitch or if I'm missing a step or several.

Can anyone in the group help me to resolve this problem??? Many thanks for any help.

Click that one single Icon and it will open the Chapter menu.
Possibly you simply saw the one icon and pressed play on the remote, in fact the "Play all" button would be highlighted by default, you need to press one of the direction buttons
(up / down / left / right) to activate that one single Icon on your menu.

It worked!!!!!

Thank you for the expeditious explanation and the graphics which helped me to see the solution with great clarity. I deeply appreciate the altruism evident on this forum and the fact that you've taken your time and devoted your obvious expertise to help me and others find their way through an excellent if sometimes frustratingly obscure program.

Thank you again.

If you do not want the Title menu, and only want the Chapter menu to appear on screen, on the Edit tab (shown in Steve's example above) click on the Advanced Settings button and deselect Add Title Menu.
