Hi Jolson
All things being equal, you should have completed the create disc process.
OK
Lets move on to your problem project.
I want you to start video studio and open the problem project.
I do not know what you have called this project, has it got a name?
I want you to try and create a video file of the project.
To do this Share Create Video File¡XSame as First Video Clip.
In the ¡¥create video file¡¦ window read the info in the ¡¥properties panel¡¦
They should indicate these settings, remember these are your video files settings.
Video properties
MPEG files
24 bits, 720 x 480, 29.97 fps
Lower Field First
(MPEG-2), 4:3
Video data rate: Variable (Max. 8000 kbps)
LPCM Audio, 48000 Hz, Stereo
Give the file a name, call it ¡¥35 minute video¡¦ and a save location.
Press save.
Let me know the results.

hi trevor, or anyone,
thank you for the post you sent. i just can't get through the steps you layed out for me. the majority of the time i get messages that the folder is empty.
so i went back and read more posts, and also the post from KEN BERRY describing an alternative method to burn. i think you mentioned it too. it the one where you go to share/create video file/dvd. BUT MY PROJECT ALWAYS FAILS WITH AN UNEXPECTED ERROR.
i want to back up a little. when i started the post, i layed out all of the properties that i could find. you noticed that i had a conflict. one property showed 16:9, while all the rest showed 4:3. it seems that all of the video clips were 16:9 but my general properties said they were 4:3. i have no idea why. it was easier to change to 16:9. i then tried to burn in the alternative method described by ken berry. still a failure, and unexpected error.
i really don't know what to do except to call someone for help.

i saved the file as jolsons test create disc. please advise further. i didn't try to burn dvd yet, as i think you want to look at property info first. correct? jolson.
These are your correct video file properties
jolsons test create disc. this is a VSP file

Hi Jolson
I feel there is some confusion regarding a VSP and a MPEG
When you do Share Create Disc-Add Video
If you get the warning The VideoStudio project ******¡¥Is an empty project¡¦, therefore it cannot be inserted¡XPlease choose another project file.
You are trying to insert the VSP called (jolsons test create disc) This is wrong. This is a project file.
You should insert an Mpeg File. (Mpg) Windows XP may call it a Movie Clip.
You should be looking for the Mpeg you inserted to the timeline when we first started, the file that showed the information regarding the video properties.
Ok
Lets try again
Share Create Disc
Add Video files make sure you select
ADD Video Files, The first icon top left.
Browse the hard drive and locate your files.
Now float your mouse over each file in turn
A tool tip will show
Look for Movie Clip
If you see Ulead Video Studio 10 Document, THIS IS WRONG, choose another.
Your file is a Movie Clip (About 2 GB)
This is what I see:-

Remember your looking for a Movie Clip about 2 GB

i am glad to hear from you, and again i thank you for your time. the visual helped me. i went into my recent documents, and i found the original JOLSONS TEST CREATE, and many others that i made up later because i kept getting confused (so i renamed them) but everyone of these files are VSP. when i open the properties, it is called a media clip as you mentioned, a couple say mpg. when i open i get a message that it is SPECIFIED IN THE TARGET BOX IS WRONG. something like that. i found one a mpg that i had saved in my d drive, this one opened but it was a much smaller file, it must have partially saved to my drive before i got the unexpected error.
also , the very first time i tried to follow your steps, and i checked the tick to show messages when inserting first video. i only got that message once. each time i try to re create the same steps this window never pops up anymore. i was only able to paste information to the forum once, i have never been able to get properties since then.
i did fix my problem with 4:3 versus 16:9. it turns out that i did have my video camera set on 16:9. i reset this in my project, but i still continue to get UNEXPECTED ERROR, and my computer shuts down when i try to CREATE VIDEO FILE.
sorry, i feel like a dunce. i wish i understood it better. i have probably thoroughly perplexed you. jolson

hi trevor,
as i learn more from these posts, i realize how very little i know about the process of making a video. i have been looking through all of the files and i am concerned. i found one of my videos in the mpeg format. when i opened it said file size is 4.00 KB, i am not sure if it is the whole file. i found a lot of vsp files ( i have been saving the files, with different names) when i tried to open the mpeg file i mentioned above it said UNABLE TO OPEN (C:\document...alaska 2006.LNK.
i don't know what a LNK file is. so i seem to be less able to progress. thank you.

a LNK file is a shortcut (Link) you probably have quite a few on your desktop, those icons that you click to open something up or run a program - they are shortcut icons - they are "LINKS" and if you examine them closely they have a LNK extension.
VSP files are "VideoStudio Project Files" - these are not videos - they are lists of instructions telling VideoStudio what to do.
Please click here
If you are struggling to get your first video done, then I suggest you sit back and watch a few videos we have all put together.
There are some here (click)
and a few more

This option only works
once for each project.
To see the information window you have to start a new project.
Then insert a
compatible Video Clip. This should show the window. pressing Details will allow you to view thw Video Properties.
The rigth pane is the one you need.

Ok lets move on to looking at your problem project.
Jeff mentioned in an earlier post regarding a corrupt clip.
Can you e-mail me the Video Studio Project
View your project settings, File ¡V Project Properties
The top of the window indicates the file name and location.
Make a note of this.
Browse your hard drive to locate the file, remember it¡¦s a UleadVideoStudio10.0 Document.
Float your mouse over to see a tool tip, just make sure.
If you right click the file you should see an option to e-mail?????????
