Just asking, see via facebook something called animoto...had a quick look at the website/checked out a friend whose used it...nice bouncy/cool ways of piecing together a series of photographs.

Just wondering, could be used for VS? Havent time to try myself yet, so anyone know? Or else, use their own ways for effects for VS?

Talking about using the usual, photo fades in/out..blends to another one etc etc

ideas welcome on a postcard

Do you have a link to an example? Kind of hard to imagine what you saw.

Have you tried all of Video Studios transition effects?If non of these suit
is what you saw close to any one of those fades etc..................Ken

The effects i suppose - with work and imagination - could possibly be achieved using VS...but if you take a look at that site think youll be impressed..upload your photos and basically does it for you...all range of things...photo in photo kindof effects..very 'trendy' lets say.

Most of those can be done in VS. Some will be a bit more difficult to do. They are nothing more than transitions. To have the images "feel the beat" or change to the beat, it takes a few more steps, such as listening to the music, finding where the beats fall that would enhance the slideshow, and placing cue points at those locations on the timeline. Then place your images at those cue points.

MSP8 has a feature built in that does basically the same thing as Animoto. The only thing that needs to be done first is to placing cues on the beats or where you want the images to appear, and MSP8 places the images at the cue points.

However with VS it requires more "manual labor"...

Would be nice if you could at least download your finished video remix and then put that into VS. Perhaps there is some add on that will do this for VS like Adorage or something. Kind of shocking how technology is making the manual labor video approach obsolete. Maybe Corel will see that and put some more automation into a Wizard kind of tool for VS in the future.
Hmm...just messing around on that site, looks like they email you a finished video..will have to see if VS can read it for an intro type video segment.
