Hi,
I have VS 11+, with all the appropriate patches/updates for working with AVCHD files, and have the following the problem:
I have imported some clips from my Sony HDR-CX12E, placed them on the timeline and added some transitions between the clips, a mix of simple cross fades and some 3D transitions. When I play back the rendered file on my PS3, there always seems to be stuttering or jumping, sometimes only just noticable, on playback, just after the transition completes. I have removed the transitions and re-rendered the file, and found that the cuts between the clips result in smooth playback.
Has anybody else seen this problem ?
Any help appreciated.....just trying the same clips with Vegas for comparison and will post the results.
Thanks,
Sanjay

I taking for granted your using the "Mpeg Optimizer" which sets the new avc/h264 video files properties to match the source(s) video(s).
After you hit the "Accept" Icon for the "Mpeg Optimizer" click on the "Options" and turn OFF "SmartRender".
Whatever method your using to encode your avc/h264 on the output screen you will see the "Options" Icon available, click on it and uncheck "SmartRender".
Give that a try.
Be ready to have a long encode but I really don't notice any loss of quality with smart-render disabled.
