Cannot add background music to video

I have an older version of ULEAD (VideoStudio 8 ) and I added background music from a CD before and it worked without any problems.
But just recently it stopped working; when I want to record a song it says "Cannot record CD", with the error # 15131:0:21. It can play the song but it doesn¡¦t want to record it.
Can someone please help me? I have no idea what´s going on...

I've often had problems with VS not being able to rip CDs. I don't even try anymore. I simply rip with another software, such as iTunes (to wav format), then import it into VS.
