Cannot add background music to video

I have an older version of ULEAD (VideoStudio 8 ) and I added background music from a CD before and it worked without any problems.
But just recently it stopped working; when I want to record a song it says "Cannot record CD", with the error # 15131:0:21. It can play the song but it doesn¡¦t want to record it.
Can someone please help me? I have no idea what´s going on...

I have had problems in the past with VS not ripping CDs, so I don't bother trying anymore. I simply use other software, such as iTunes, to rip then import it into VS. BTW, rip to WAV format.
