How to insert "Print Screen" capture into a "

Post by westlight »

Sorry for what is probably a daft question but I can't seem to be able to paste a "screen capture" into a question I wanted to post. Seems I've seen this done.
I wanted to insert my Project Settings, Video Format Properties, etc... so that I could make it easy for someone to help me out.

Thanks

Hi

For video properties Try this:-

From File ¡VPreferences¡Xselect¡XShow messages when inserting first video¡K.

Start a new project
Insert your video file to the timeline.

If it¡¦s a compatible file then a pop up info window will show
Select details
The right hand panel shows the video properties
Drag your mouse to select the information in the panel

Using your keyboard
Ctrl + C to copy
Ctrl + V to paste to the forum or word Doc.

If that doesn¡¦t work, then right click the video file in the timeline or library, select properties.

The info being input manually

Thanks Trevor, for the info and the compliments on my photography.

What I wanted to find out is if I can insert a "screen capture" into a "Forum Post" and if so how. I didn't want to have to type all my preference settings when I have a question about them.

I'm guessing the only way to do this would be to upload the "Print Screen capture" as a .jpg to my website and include a link to that image in my post?

Thanks for any replies.

Yes, I believe that is how you have to do it - the image must reside on the Internet somewhere. You can also use an image hosting site like Image Shack.

Once you have the screen capture uploaded to a host, then using the BBCode of (without the quotations) "[img]http://my neat photo.com[/url]" will directly link the image to the forum, where it can be seen on the forum without having to click on a link....

For a complete list and description of the BBCodes click HERE. That link is located, when you are posting a question or reply, to the left under the Options.
