How do you turn off background music in DV-to-DVD wizard ?

Post by poshrat »

Just managed to burn a disc which took hours using the DV to DVD wizard only to find some really annoying background music through out the whole tape which has nothing to do with me but VS11.

How do you turn the background music off.

Hi

Remove sound from DV to DVD.
Start over again, capture the footage.

On the final window you select a Theme Template
Select the last option ¡¥Straight Cut¡¦
Should copy and burn your disc ¡¥as is¡¦

At least that works for VS 10

The VS11+ Dv-to-DVD wizard must be different to VS10 as there are no templates to choice from only a beginning title and end title. :(

The Straight Cut that Trevor is referring to is the last Theme template, found on the burn page of the Wizard. Just scroll to the right as far as you can, and select the Theme template called Straight Cut.

Hi Ron,

I am still not getting this.

On the DV-to-DVD wizard starting from the start up welcome screen I have scanned my footage in DV AVI capture format.

Clicked Next>

Now on the Burn page there is no option to change the theme template.

The writing for Theme Template is there but the button next to it says "Edit Title" if I click on this I can edit the font/shadow/size etc of the beginning title and end title.

If I click on the the burning stage takes place with no options to go back.

I could screen capture with photoimpact what I am seeing if that helps.

So you're saying that below the Edit title you do not have several Theme Templates to choose from? Unless you're using a trial version there should be several thumbnails of theme templates. The last Thumbnail, which does not have any image on it, should be Straight Cut.

There is no button for Straight cut, as it is a Theme Template...

Did you perhaps neglect to install the Content for the program? The same Theme templates are used in the Movie Wizard. So if you open the Movie Wizard and have Theme Templates, they should also be available in the DV-DVD Wizard.

Hi Ron,

Yes this is a registered copy. Just downloaded and installed "UVS11_Plus_ESD_ENG_PowerPack.exe" which has now given me templates to choose from.

4 templates -multioverlay track03, multioverlay track 04, general 12 and general 13

No straight cut template.

When you purchased the program, you should have received 3 links to download in your email. One of them is the Content files. You should have more than 4 templates. The ones installed with the Power Pack are more for the HD/BD stuff.

Go HERE and download/install the Content file.

Ron,

Man you know your stuff.

THANKYOU VERY MUCH!

Downloaded your contents links and installed them. All is well now and the plain cut is there as well as a host of other content.

I bought the disc from eBay with license/registration etc. I knew something wasn't quite right when the help file didn't load.

I can not believe ulead haven't done something to let people know there is more content to the program.

I bet alot of people don't even know about the extra content and are not making full use of this great program.

Thankyou so much for the links Ron.

This is the second time you have helped me as I had a problem last year with photoimpact and your advice put me right.

One person here told me to RTFM which I looked up the meaning on google.

Well I couldn't RTFM if the FM wasn't there in the first place!

Thankyou for uploading the image too to imageshack.

Glad you have it working for you now. That's one of the problems with buying software from Ebay. You're fortunate that the program works at all. There's a lot of pirated software being sold on Ebay...

Hi Trevor,

Me too!

I forgot to thankyou too as it was your answer to my topic question which got the ball rolling. Ron gave me the download links to the content which has made an annoying program into something great which I can work with.

Thankyou Trevor,

Jason :)
