New infos to the subtitle issue.

I recorded several times the DVD with the mentioned subtitles, and I always failed.
This means the subtitles always dissapear after about 3 minutes from start (the 10th title).
I tried to change the film nothing changes.
Interestingly on the DVD I found a new foilder

ULEADDMF

In this folder there is a file called:

DMF_ON_DVD.dwz

When I click on this file it automatically opens the COREL MF in EDIT DISC mode, imports the DVD content and in Corel window I see the complete film with all subtitles.

I have no idea what else I should try to finish the DVD with subtitles.

Here is my last investigation regarding the subtitle problem in MF7.

Here is the coresponding text.

The line 31. is working , from the number 32. does not:

31
00:15:10,039 --> 00:15:13,919
Il treno raggiunge il ponte piu altro del percorso.

32
00:15:50,159 --> 00:15:56,119
Siamo di nuovo a Asmara, la Littorinella ed il suo personale
di fronte l'officina della stazione

I do not see any problem in the text file, as the MF7 does not see also (the text is presented in editor)..

I will try to insert the picture (printscreen of MF7). In MF7 I can toggle in and out the subtitles, on DVD this text does not appears at all. (all other before work well).

I just discovered an other interesting thing.

The times shown in MF 7 are not the same as in the subtitle editor (Subtitle Workshop 4). I do not know where the difference comes from. In 27 min film the pitch is 10 sec.

The subtitle workshop has a resolution of 0.000 sec (1/1000 sec).

There is something wrong in the MF 7 with the multiplexing

The subtitles on any DVD player incl. PowerDVD stopping on some place on the DVD. Recently around the 30th subtitle. After this point there are no more subtitles on the screen.

When I re-import the DVD content into MF 7 for repair, the subtitles are correct and running again till the end of the film.
I already reported the issue to Corel and waiting for their reply, because it looks like the MF 7 has no problem with the multiplexed video/audio/subtitles but any other DVD players have.

I just got a message from COREL that the trial version of the MF7 is incomplete and some features do not work on the trial version!!!!

For example the subtitle multiplexing!!!

Is there any other feature what does not work????

What format is it, exactly? And how are you trying to insert it in the MF 7 timeline?

Hi,

I just wanted to make sure I am on the correct User Web Board. This one seems to be British oriented, and also for a current and supported product, MF7. I am not sure if there is a separate one that deals with Corel product sold in the USA. Example: I see many entries refering to MF7. However while Corel is selling this product in the USA, I cannot really get any support from Corel. Their "support" tellls me that MF7 (which I would LOVE to have work properly) is not being maintained by Corel and is being phased out. They tell me that there are no solutions to my myriad of problesm with MF7 and that there will be no further updates of any kind. Yet on this forum I am seeing entries from only a few weeks ago.

This is a world wide board, so please post your questions, though in a new thread please. Admittedly, Corel has been a bit schizoid about the future of the program, but for the moment it has been resurrected from an early death...

And just adding to Kens post - this is a USER to User Forum - so whether Corel continue to support it or not as long as there are users somewhere in the world those users will continue to try and help other users.

I had the same problem with the subtitles. They disappear when the subtitle row is too long or the font is too large. The subtitles are visible from the start, but they disappear after the point when the program cannot handle the long row. I've found this the hard way after 2 days struggle. So if you have the same problem just try to edit your subtitles to make the row shorter in a editor like Easy Subtitles Synchronizer or something similar. You can also try a smaller font.

I have MovieFactory 7 Pro, but when I get the music in, it tells me the file is not compatible? So it's not fully compatible with Windows 7 (no sound)
