Ulead VS10+ No Sound

Post by Spiro Liacos »

Have been using VS10+ with my XP laptop with no problems. Have just acquired a new laptop running Vista Enterprise. Installed same VS10+ software. When I try to play a video clip in the preview window or if I try to listen to the "project", I can't hear any sound.
I can however hear imported audio track clips, but not when I try to play the "project".
I hit "share" and converted my dummy 6-second project to an MPEG movie, which played with full sound on Windows Media Player. SOund is obviously being processed by VS but it isn't being played. All my video files play perfectly on Media player.
How can I turn the sound on?

Same problem with my sound too.

Windows Moviemaker captures the sound from my camera but VS11 doesn't. The wave is there though and when I save it to the desk top as a movie the sound is there but not able to hear it in VS11.

I am using XP pro.

Have installed Vista Update Pack and I can now hear the videos. Thanks.

I still get a message saying that the colour scheme for Windows has changed. Is this a problem?

No. VS10 was never written for Vista. With the patch, it is at least compliant but disables the Aero (transparent) effect in Vista Home Premium or higher, and reverts it to Vista Basic while VS10 is open. Once you close it, though, Aero will be restored.
