Some history....
I suffered the usual ufo problems with PI12 while using Vista...that is, unable to move, reame, delete, or open.
I did the reearch! And I found that nobody offered much in the way of a solution, even up until 4 weeks ago. In all of the threads I searched, I found only one mod (sjj1805) who almost as an afterthought suggested the PS12 patch.
Well, I tried it...and it worked! Amazing. Dozens of old threads and users suffering the same problem, and the patch clears it up, but nobody has figured that out (the info on the page with the patches does not list the ufo problem as one of the cures).
Well, I thought I would post a link to the patch and mention to all of the other users that the patch works beautifully to solve the ufo problem. Apparently, the way this forum is set up, simply posting a link causes the entire thread to seize up? So, now nobody can benefit.
I got an e-mail and got bitched out by one guy. I wrote to the mods several times and explained everything and apologized. I got no response. That was 3 weeks ago, and I see that the threads that I inadvertently seized up are still seized. Is it really that tough to fix these?
I received a strange PM from a brand-new user asking me what the solution was and what I posted. I responded. A day later that original PM was absent from my inbox as was my response??? Obviously, that was a plant from the mods to gather info about my motives. Rest assured mods, I'm not a hacker. I'm a well educated, mid-level user who clicked on the wrong button and caused all of this havoc.
I tried to help (isn't that what these forums are for?) other users, and future users, who were having the same frustrating problem that I was. And somehow I caused all of this.
If you found this in a ufo search, and you have the typical ufo/Vista/PS10,11,12 problem....TRY THE PATCH! You'll have to find the link yourself. I'm not posting it! Sorry about all of the havoc.

Conspiracy theories heh!!
Nope sorry nothing so romantic, nice thought though.
Since the Corel takeover - the day to day running of this Web Board has been handed over to Ron and Myself. However we are not Corel Employees,
Ron works in heavy machinery in the USA and I work for the Police Force in the UK. Whilst we have access to the Administrators Control Panel, we do not have access to the Web Server itself. So if things go wonky we are unable to delve into the program or the SQL Database to fix it.
Trying to get a Corel Engineer to jump into the forum software is like trying to get a Sumo wrestler to put on a ballet skirt - it isn't going to happen. The only time I manage to get Corel to look at the Web Board is when it stops working.
Anyway.... thanks for providing this link with the answer to the problem, I know it has been plaguing a number of our members.

I'm having the same problem with X3. Driving me crazy. Is there an X3 fix?
