I've used Video Studio 10 with great success. I thought I'd upgrade for my next project to MediaStudio 8. Is it me, or is this software less intuitive than VS10?
So I'm trying to figure out how to make a small section of the audio silent. At one point I selected the range where I want the silence and brought up the Audio Mixing panel. I lowered the master volume and now all of the audio is silent. I raised it back up and I get nothing.
I closed the file (without saving) and re-opened it and it's still silent.
Now even when I start a new project and re-import the video, It's silent.
What did I do to turn off all audio in the entire package?
How do you make a section of the video silent?
Your help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike Mattera

WOW! Somehow this turned off the volume on the Wave output for my system. So I'm getting audio again.
Still need to know how to silence a section of the video.

Either right click the clip and select "split", then delete the audio portion.
Or drag the nodes within the audio clip to the bottom of the clip.
Or add the amplify filter to the clip, twice, with a percentage of one (effectively silencing the clip)
Or put the clip on a track of its own and disable audio for that track.

Thank you. That information was helpful.
Took a little playing to understand the "control points", but that seems to be the easiest way.
Couldn't figure out Split right away. I thought it would split the track at my current position. I see now it splits the Audio from the Video, to work on them separately.
Thanks again. I appreciate it.
