hi jeff,
i wish i was a smarter user, but i am not, i am trying really hard to get you the information necessary to analyze my error. i am thankful that you understand, frame rate, bit rates, resolutions size, but i don´t , they are foreign to me. i have gone to the locations that i was told to find this information, and i thought that i had provided you with it. here is everthing that i have included in this string of replies to your forum.

VIDEO STUDIO 10, file size 5.0MB

here are the project properties: DVD NTSC 720*480 surround,
5.0 MB,duration 35:40.21, MPEG FILES, NTSC drop frame (29.97), 24 bits, 720 X 480 , 29.97 fps, upper field left, video data rate: variable max, audio rate:384 kbps
DVD NTSC 4:30
burn properties of the audio.
total samples; 1890839 samples,
attributes, 44.100 kHz, 16 bits, stereo
compression, PCM

here is more information that i looked up:
dvd 4.7 G
DOLBY DIGITAL AUDIO- 48 KHz
3/2 (L,C,R,SL,SR)

in change MPEG SETTINGS- these 2 boxes are checked; DO NOT CONVERT COMPLIANT MPEG FILE and AUTO REPEAT WHEN DISC PLAYBACK ENDS.

in my mind i have provided you with frame rate, bit rate, resolution size. isn´t it mentioned above. if i haven´t provided this necessary information can you re'direct me to find it. this isn´t so easy for me, sorry to be a pain.

I am not at a computer that has VS installed, so I can't give you the step-by-step help you need. Be patient until I get home from work, or maybe someone else will jump in and direct you to where you can find the burn properties.

Ok, I'm glad you found the burn properties. There are another set of properties that are very important. Go to the video clip library and right click on one of your clips in your project and list those properties. I see some problems between your Project and Burn properties, but we need the clip properties also.

convert error' video studio 10

Post by olsonju »

hi jeff,
i am sorry that i am making this so difficult for myself. and appear to be daft. i m really not.
i went into edit section, opened video (nothing in my library manager), went to image. THIS IS where i am not sure if a clip is also an image. VIDEO IMAGE, attributes are RGB true color, width 639 pixel, heigth 426 pixel, format is JPEG file interchange format, preview NONE, SIZE 23,164 bytes, readable is yes.

i also looked for clips through my documents, and found type of file MOVIE CLIP, opens with MEDIA PLAYER.

WHEN i look at video from edit , then right click on a video it says,
VIDEO TYPE, MPEG 2 VIDEO, UPPER FIELD FIRST, the rest of the information seems to be information that i already provided.
24 bits, 720 x 380, 16:9

so , maybe i have found everything.
