How can I create a subtitel file ( *.utf) for ULEAD VS 10+ for automatic subtitling.
I have the text already in excel (as a storyboard) in many languages. One language is already recorded as narration and now I want to add the second language as subtitles to the film.
The excel sheet contains all data (starting time, ending time and the text) but I did not find any instructions how to create the *.utf file what would Ulead accept for automatic subtitling.
Thank you for your help.

Using VideoStudio you can only have one "Subtitle" file because VideoStudio does not use proper subtitles. It uses the "Title Track" and embeds the text into the video - the subtitles cannot be turned on/off with a DVD remote control.

Hi sjj1805
thank you for prompt reply.
No I do not want to create a DVD at all (no need to turn them on / off), I want to have those subtitles direct on the film. I would like to embedd them automatically by VS 10+ and not to place all about 50 text blocks manually to the timeline.
There is a function on VS 10+ to import subtitles in *.utf format only I have no idea how this format looks like and how can I create the subtitle file (with those over 50 text block) in utf format to import them into VS 10+.
Thank you for your help.

What I suggest is the following:
After looking at the link I gave above you will see how to create a UTF file from VideoStudio, using that method create a short sample UTF file.
Now open it with windows Notepad and view the contents so that you can see how it is organised, what format it takes in respect of the timings of the text appearing on the screen.
Now using that information, make any necessary adjustments to the excel spreadsheet and then export it as a txt file.
Open that txt file with notepad and make sure it has come out in the same format as the sample one created above. If it looks OK, rename the txt extension to UTF and then try and import it into VideoStudio.
Might take you a few attempts to get it right but I think you will be able to do so this way.
